EDR Group evaluated the annual economic impacts of natural gas production in the Appalachian Basin. The study covered territory across four states where Equitable Resources (EQT) holds mining concessions. On-going operations as well as capital projects related to well development, pipeline expansion and compression plant construction were evaluated for SW Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky and Virginia using IMPLAN models. A tally of taxes contributed by EQT to state and local jurisdictions was also included. This information was developed to supplement EQT's annual report development as well as for use in governmental affairs.
