Pennsylvania Economy League (with Economic Development Research Group), Free Library of Philadelphia, 2004

For the Free Library of Philadelphia, EDR Group (under contract to the Pennsylvania Economy League ) conducted an economic impact analysis of construction activities related to expansion of the library’s central branch. This analysis included the economic impact of spending on construction and jobs supported by this spending, as well as economic impact related to any new services and/or new employees directly attributable to the central branch expansion.

The economic impact was conducted for three geographic areas:

1) the city of Philadelphia;

2) the five counties of Southeastern Pennsylvania (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia); and,

3) the nine-county Philadelphia, PA-NJ PMSA (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia in PA; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem in NJ).
