Economic Development Forecasting Scenarios for Erie County
A major employer in Erie, Pennsylvania hired Economic Development Research Group (EDR Group) to study likely and potential future changes in the economy of Erie County.
The study developed forecasts of changes in the composition of the regional economy over a 32 year period to 2035, reflecting the impact of the proposed policy changes affecting costs, employment and output for each of 53 industry categories. It included a trends-extended baseline forecast, and alternative forecasts with optimistic and pessimistic assumptions.
