Michigan State Airport System Plan (2016 update)

For Michigan DOT, EDR Group is updating the statewide airport benefit assessment tool and air freight assessment.

EDR Group originally delivered a Community Benefits Assessment (CBA) tool to Michigan DOT in 2003. This tool enabled MDOT's Office of Aeronautics to track the economic contribution of airports regionally and across the state.

Over the past 13 years, MDOT has continually updated the economic contributions of Michigan’s airports and EDR Group has twice refreshed the regional and state econometric data that underlie the CBA,. This year, as the Office of Aeronautics launches a new system planning effort, EDR Group is modernizing the CBA model and is including an analysis of air freight using its vFreight tool.
