Mike Sherman Joins EDR Group As Principal Consultant, Clean Energy Policy

Economic Development Research Group, Inc. is proud to announce the hiring of Mike Sherman as Principal Consultant on Clean Energy Policy.

Mr. Sherman will help expand the firm's practice in energy policy and program analysis, focusing on municipal and regional energy efficiency.  He has more than 30 years' experience in a broad range of energy roles in the public and private sectors, including policy and legislation, regulation, program planning and evaluation.

Mr. Sherman's work ranges from economic and equity concerns for low income people, to impacts of energy policy and programs on commercial and institutional establishments and industrial concerns. He combines his broad policy experience with on-the-ground understanding of what it takes to successfully implement a program or a policy. His evaluation approach combines substantial engagement, early feedback, and actionable recommendations. He served for five years as Director of Energy Efficiency Programs for the Masssachusetts Department of Energy Resources, and earlier was Assistant Director for the Massachusetts Low Income Weatherization Assistance Program. At Sherman Energy Solutions, Peregrine Energy Group, Navigant Consulting and the former Xenergy (now DNV GL), he led numerous evaluations of energy programs and energy policies.
